The remains of late Madam Victoria Nkemnhurunanya Okereke was laid to rest on Friday, the 9th of June, 2017 at her family home, Eziukwu compound Amuzi village after a funeral mass was held at St Thomas Catholic Church, Amuvi village, Abia State. She was aged 65.
Vicky as she was popularly called, was born on the 23rd of December, 1952. She attended St Bridget Primary and Girls High School, both in Enugu. After her education, she was employed as a clerk and served in the Establishment Department of the Presidency. In 1985, she was sent to Austria for further studies where she majored in International Relations and retired from service a few years ago as a senior civil servant.
She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac Town, Lagos, Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Her burial ceremony was attended by many dignitaries including the All Progressive Grand Alliance 2015 guber candidate in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR.
