The President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa (OFR) was among distinguished Nigerians who bagged the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) long service award.
The event, which took place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on the 7th of October, 2019 was to marked the 25th Anniversary of the think-tank.
Mazi Ohuabunwa was honoured in recognition of his contributions to the establishment, development and sustenance of the summit process and the NESG.
Mazi Sam led the first Management Buy Out in Nigeria, when he led other directors to successful acquire the shares of Pfizer Products Plc, which resulted in the change of name of the company to Neimeth International Pharmaceutical Plc. He was the organisation’s Chairman and Managing Director.
Other distinguished Nigerians honoured alongside Mazi Sam are Prof. Anya O. Anya and Mr. Atedo Peterside.
