Politician and legal practitioner turned 70 on the 26th of September. A native of Umuogbulafor, Uzoakwa, Ihiala LGA, Ugwu Aro attended Norte Dame High School, Abatete; University of Ife; Nigerian Law School and City of London, Business School, Moorgate, London. Akunnia served the Nigeria Customs as a collector of customs and was elected into the House of Representatives in 1999 under the PDP. He was Chairman House Committee on Customs and a member of its Internal, Government Affairs and Public Petitions. He is Chairman, Foukes Oil and Gas Ltd and presently practices law. He is married to Theresa and blessed with children and grandchildren.
