His Royal Highness, Mazi Charles Kanu Okoro, Ezeogo Atani Arochukwu, has appointed Mazi Onyema Harbor as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
Harbor’s appointment was announced by Ezeogo Kanu Okoro during his cabinet meeting recently. Harbor’s appointment took effect from August 27, 2015.
Mazi Harbor, a freelance journalist, is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the defunct OKEIGBO NEWS, a publication of Aro-Okeigbo Social Club of Nigeria (AROSON); also a founding Editor-in-Chief of OMU ARO Newspaper.
He was National Publicity Secretary of AROSON (1993-2004) during which period he initiated the publication of OKEIGBO NEWS. He also served Atani community as Publicity Secretary of Atani (Arochukwu) Welfare Union from 2000-2006, and National Secretary of Otu-Obi Age Grade, Atani, Arochukwu.
A retired civil servant, Harbor was Special Adviser to the former Secretary to Abia State Government, Mazi Donatus Okorie, on General Duties from 2008 to 2011.
Mazi Harbor is married to Nnennaya and blessed with five children.
