Stanley Okoronkwo, retired footballer and businessman, clocked 59 on March 29. A native of Atani Village, Ugwu Aro attended St. Paul School, Jos; Aba Trade Centre and the National School of Salesmanship, England. His football career started at Highlander FC, Jos in 1970. He later played for Vasco Dagama and Rangers International FC both of Enugu. His style of play earned him the alias ‘don dirty’. During his career as a footballer, he won the African Winners Cup, two FA cups, three national league titles amongst other accolades. After his playing career, Ugwu Aro rose to the position of Manager, Rangers International and Vice Chairman of its former players association. He is married to Ifeoma and blessed with children.
