The Nnannas float Scholarship Foundation

Engr. & Dr. (Mrs.) Obi Charles Nnanna have jointly launched a Scholarship Foundation as one of the latest schemes designed to give basic education to some indigent Aro pupils.

Under the scheme, 10 Aro children (five in primary 1 and five in JSS 1), out of which six must hail from Atani village and the remaining four picked from other village, will benefit.

Making this declaration at the opening of Accord Hotel and Suites, Atani, Engr. Obi Nnanna stated that it is their hope and prayer to see the lucky pupils through their educational pursuit up to the university level. The couple also hopes to increase the number of students under the scholarship programme every year.

According to Engr. Nnanna, “education is something near and dear to our hearts. We know the power of education and appreciate the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ when we recognize what He has done for my parents and for my siblings and I. It is our hope and prayer that we can make educational pursuit much easier for Umu Aro.

“My wife and I recognize that it is never too early to start giving, because the truth is, if you have little and you don’t give, when you have a lot you still will not give.”

He charged the recipients of the scholarship to study hard, maintain good grades and hold on to the scholarship award. To those that were unsuccessful, he urged them to keep the faith and keep working hard as their turn might just be around the corner.

He wants Umu Aro to know that with education comes exposure and with exposure comes enlightenment and with all this coupled with the Grace of God, they can literally accomplish any task set before them.
