Over 40 indigent pupils to get scholarship

Succor is on the way for over 40 indigent pupils of Aro Kingdom as an Aro USA based medical practitioner, Mazi Emma Nwadeyi and wife, have concluded arrangements to ensure that these pupils are given basic education.

According to information made available to Aro News, the Nwadeyis, who recently built and equipped a school in Ugwuavor village, plan to award scholarships to over 40 indigent pupils.

In addition to the scholarship award which will see the lucky pupils through primary and secondary schools without their parents paying any fees whatsoever, a school bus will also be made available to convey the pupils to and from school on a daily basis. The scholarship will also cover school uniforms, books, desk etc as well as free school feeding.

A quiet philanthropist and benevolent soul, Mazi Emma Nwadeyi has over the years touched many lives positively in Arochukwu. For example, he recently donated motorcycles to some Aro youths as part of poverty alleviation programme; gave monetary grants to many artisans also in Arochukwu to improve their businesses as well as financial assistance to many youths at one time or the other. In addition to the above, Mazi Nwadeyi also released funds to several youths in the Kingdom to enable them engage in agricultural venture.

He recently donated a vehicle to the St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Atani village to ease the transportation challenges of the parish among several other philanthropic gestures.
