Worried by the deplorable state of Arochukwu Post Office, a concerned Aro citizen and public affairs commentator, Mazi Ogbonnaya Akoma, has petitioned the Postmaster-General of the Federation seeking its immediate renovation.

In the four-paragraph letter sent to the PMG, Mazi Akoma, who is also the publicity secretary, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Abia State, argued that since the Arochukwu Post Office was built more than sixty years ago, it has never been  renovated, a situation that has rendered the building is dilapidated with and the roof tiles falling off daily.

He pointed out that the condition of the building poses great danger to the workers.

Thus, he called on the authorities to urgently fix the building.

At the time of filing this report, no response had been received from the authorities of NIPOST on the issue.

However, feelers received following the airing of the news on radio indicate that many Aro indigenes are delighted that the matter had been brought to public notice.
