Akweke passes vote of no confidence on Innocent Okoronkwo, OPU PG.

This is not the best of times for the newly elected President of Obinkita Progressive Union, Mr. Innocent Okoronkwo as Ndi Akweke have passed a vote of no confidence on his leadership.

A document titled “Resolution by Akweke People” signed by the President General of Akweke Family Union, Mazi Okoroafor Nkemakolam, Mazi Ephraim Akweke Oji, Chairman Home Branch, Mazi Chima Nwafor, Secretary Home Branch and Mazi Nwagbara Nnanna for stakeholders, Akweke people said that Mr. Innocent Okoronkwo had taken steps aimed at destroying the unity of the Compound and retarding the progress of Arochukwu.

They noted that he sponsored a petition against Nzuko Arochukwu worldwide (Men’s wing) for selfish interest, in an attempt to discredit the efforts and achievements of the present Executive of Nzuko Aro.

He was also alleged to have planned to scuttle the burial arrangements of Mazi G.S. Okereke through his actions and inactions.

“The Akweke Compound and her good citizens have dissociated ourselves, our membership and any other dealings from Obinkita Progressive Union (OPU) as long as Mr. Innocent Okoronkwo (OSUZO) remains the President General of OPU, we have withdrawn our support in anything that has to do with Mr. Innocent Okoronkwo and OPU so long as he Innocent Okoronkwo remains the President General of the Organization. We hereby pass a vote of No confidence in his leadership of OPU”, the statement added.
