Atani Hall to wear new look, renovation work in progress

Renovation work has commenced at Atani Hall, Atani, Arochukwu, with the target of completing the project by the end of the year.

The project was iniatiated by the present executives of Atani Welfare Union led by Mazi Chekwas Oti and financed by some illustrious sons of the village who took up vital segments of the building like the design and block work, roofing, electrical fittings etc.

The hall, one of the oldest in Aro Kingdom will, according to some Atani indigenes, soon wear a modern look with state-of-the-art facilities.

Speaking to Aro News in a telephone conversation, the President General Atani Welfare Union worldwide, Mazi Chekwas Oti, expressed gratitude to God for the level of work at the site, attributing the speed to the level of commitment and seriousness exhibited by the sponsors and the cooperation of Atani people at large.

Since the inception of the current administration there has been series of breakthroughs and innovations geared towards community development, one of note is the Atani Carnival.

The President stated that he was able to achieve these by bringing all Ụmụ Atani at home and abroad together on an online platform where they discuss and share ideas as regards the development and growth of Atani village.
