A native of Atani village, Arochukwu, Ugwu Aro attended Okrika Grammar School, Government College, Owerri, University of Ife, Columbia University, New York and the Lagos Business School. He was Chairman/CEO of Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc, he led the management buyout of Pfizer Products Plc in1997, the first of its kind in Nigeria, Chairman, Multimesh Communications Ltd, Masta Services Co Ltd, director, Aro News Publications Ltd etc. Ugboma is at present the President of the Pharmaceuticals Society of Nigeria (PSN), past Chair, Nigeria Economic Summit Group, past director, Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI), past member of Sure P etc. He is a lay worker and Field Representative of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International. He is married to Stella and blessed with children and grandchildren.
