Abia Lawmaker Commiserates with Isu community over recent killing in the area

The Minority Whip/Member representing Arochukwu State Constituency in the Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha has commiserated with the people of Isu community over the recent killing which took place in the town.

Speaking during his visit, the lawmaker explained that it was a shock to him when he received the news that people of his constituency were massacred by people from Utuma people of Cross River State .
Interacting with some elders of Isu community in the palace of Eze Mortimor Ogbonnaya, Hon. Ukoha explained that he was collaborating with security agencies and the government to ensure that a Police Post is built in the community, to prevent further attack. Also efforts are being made to call on the attention of the National Boundary Commission to delineate the boundary between the two states.

In their separate speeches, Chief P. O. Okorie, and other elders of the community, extolled the qualities of the lawmaker, stating that since his election, he has ensured that there is peace in Isu and prayed God to see him through in his legislative assignments. They also thanked Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu and President Muhammadu Buhari for the relief materials they received from Abia State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
