Arochukwu Kingdom Will Rise Again

Ezinye Eucharia OtiApril 30, 2018

The history of Arochukwu Kingdom remains a peculiar one in the history of the black race; and I passionately believe that it cannot be overemphasized. Though the history is accessible to everyone, via electronic, print media and oral tradition, it however, gives me so much joy to do a recap, whenever such need arises. For...

The Dedicated Heart

Ezinye Eucharia OtiFebruary 4, 2018

In this very special edition of Aro News, Agwabumma has thought it wise, to appreciate, and literarily honour the dedicated hearts in Aro Kingdom. To be dedicated to any cause, it means devotion, conscientiousness, loyalty etc, to that cause. This heart speaks we, not me. It works like a stereoscope, feeling the heart beat and...

Let me close with this piece I came across in the internet, published as copied. Maybe, it will help us understand the negative impact of this evil very well. We were praying for someone who was cheating on his wife. And I was struck by what one person said in his prayer: “Lord, work in...

The metaphor of titles, awards/honours – the place of Aro

Ezinye Eucharia OtiDecember 21, 2015

What are titles and awards/honours. Literally they are ways of appreciating people who in one way or another, have contributed to the development of a nation, people, or community. There are usually, criteria, or reasons, such persons are honored in any of the chosen capacities. Maybe, a brief analysis of the key words will give...

How Long Shall We…

Ezinye Eucharia OtiSeptember 29, 2015

In recent times, any careful observer of events in Aro kingdom would have noticed that the kingdom has been experiencing some unhealthy challenges. If we are sincere to ourselves, we also would have noticed that these challenges are man- made. The truth of the matter about these man- made challenges are that, they are ill...

The Challenges of the 21st Century Mother, Her Expectations

Ezinye Eucharia OtiApril 4, 2015

INTRODUCTION I decided to write on this very vital issue as a Mothering Sunday gift to mothers; and also want mothers to use this very important season of Easter to reflect on it. The topic, “The 21st Century Mothers , challenges and expectations” is an interesting one. Just as our prayer to restore the original...
