Madam Dorcas Omasiridiya Elekwekechi Ibe, mother of the popular businessman in Arochukwu Mazi Okechukwu Ibe aka Okey Unique, who passed on the 5th of April, 2018 was buried on the 28th of July 2018.
Born in 1921 at Eziukwu compound in Amuvi, Arochukwu, Mama Dorcas had no western education but acquired knowledge with her regular attendance of Sunday School organized by the Methodist Church.
She was a farmer, a vocation she combined with trading and equally operated a restaurant.
She was a member of the Women’s Guild of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Amannagwu Parish, Nzuko Inyom, Eziogo and Amannagwu, Nzuko Okoro Avigbo, Nzuko Ikwunibe and Nzuko Inyom Arochukwu.
In the year 2012, Mama Dorcas was given the Faithful Mother award by the Men’s Christian Association of the Presbyterian Church, Amannagwu parish and awarded the Mary Slessor of Our Time in 2014 by the Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church, Amaeze parish.
She left to mourn her, children, grand children and great grand children.
