Analytical chemist and retired civil servant clocked 77 on the 5th of May. A native of Upata village, Ajalli, he attended Government School, Ajalli and CMS School, Ughelli; Government College, Ughelli; University of Ibadan and the University of New York. He holds a Ph.D in environmental analytical chemistry. He was Deputy Manager, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation; Assistant Director and retired as Deputy Director, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR). He is at present Director, Niger Delta Environmental Survey and Fellow, Nigeria Environmental Society, etc. He is married to Uzoamaka and blessed with children and grandchildren.
