Civil engineer and community leader, turned 67 on the 30th of April. A native of Atani village, Ugwu Aro was educated at St. Ephraim’s Secondary School, Owerrinta; Baptist High School, Port Harcourt and the University of Lagos. He was Assistant Director, Highways; Federal Controller of Works and Housing in Abia and Anambra States and retired as an Executive Director of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA). He is a past President General of Atani Welfare Union; Fellow, Nigeria Society of Engineers, Knight of St. Christopher of the Anglican Communion, etc. He is married to Aliezi and they are blessed with children and grandchildren.
