Arochukwu Excellence Shines: First-Ever All Aro USA Young Professional Career Event Inspires

Arochukwu culture and history are marked by excellence that has been passed down from one generation to the next. It was with this spirit in mind that the first ever All Aro USA Young Professional Career Networking Event was conducted. The event gathered four successful experienced professionals in Medicine/Healthcare, Information Technology/Government, Finance, and Engineering to share their knowledge with young professionals starting careers in these fields.

Dr. Emmanuela Uko from Aro Ihechiowa, who represented Medicine/Healthcare, is an Attending Internal Medicine Physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York with over 10 years of healthcare and community engagement experience. Representing Information Technology/Government was Councilwoman and CEO of roxHealth, Roxy Ndebumadu from Amangwu Village, a visionary leader recognized for her work in ethical artificial intelligence (AI) usage and government technologies modernization. Mazi Nkemji Anige BBA, MBA, RTRP from Obinkita Village shared his knowledge as a tax accountant with over 25 years of experience in accounting and financial consulting in both the corporate and non-profit spaces. Mazi Collins Kalu MS, CPSA, CMI, CPEA, CIAQM, ENV SP from Aro Ihechiowa represented engineering with over 35 years of industrial hygiene and environmental engineering experience working with state and local government entities.

Over 20 young professionals attended the networking event, gleaning knowledge from the speakers about their career experiences. Many felt encouraged to continue to pursue their unique career pathways as they reflected on the journeys of their predecessors, showing the success of the event. The All Aro USA Young Professional delegation hopes to continue to support the future of Aro young professionals through additional career events in the future.
