On Friday, the 15th of July 2022, Mrs. Chioma Jane Anyiwo was sworn in as an Ambassador for the African Tourism Board (ATB). Internationally known for her wildly popular “Tour Aro” programs, as well as OgeneAfrica International Initiative, Ambassador Anyiwo was joined by a crowd of over 50 people at the Alphaplus Apartment (AA91) in Jabi, Abuja.
Addressing the crowd, the newly inaugurated Ambassador spoke about the 98 World Heritage sites currently located in 35 African nations, and the multi-billion dollar Tourism Sector across the entirety of the African Continent. She closed by stating how she will do her part to continue the plans of the ATB by addressing the challenges of African tourism using innovative and strategize ways, and by ensuring that the full potential of our cultures and heritages are well tapped into and used for the development of the continent.
In attendance included representatives from Nzuko Arochukwu, the African Tourism Board, the Cuban and Venezuelan embassies, the Chinese Education and Cultural attaché, the African Union, the Nigerian Ministries of State & Information and Culture, Faculty from the University of Ilorin, and members from Women in Business and Tourism in Nigeria, National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies, and Leaders of Today Global Youths Forum.
