The apex Arochukwu women organization, Nzuko Aro Women’s wing worldwide, on Friday, August 26, 2022, gave Sentor Uzor Orji Kalu, Chief Whip of the Senate and senator representing Abia North zone, the honour of unveiling its newly built fashion and skill acquisition centre erected to empower youths with requisite vocational skills.
At the unveiling ceremony, President General of Nzuko Aro Women’s wing, Lady Bright Elekwa, showered praises on Sen Kalu for supporting the initiative.
While appreciating Kalu for his support, Lady Elekwa listed Kalu’s completed and ongoing projects in Arochukwu including the Akama-Ugwuavo road, Amoba Primary School, the ongoing Utughughu road among others.
Addressing the elated women, Kalu explained the need for youths to acquire skills asides formal education. He also stated that the projects he attracted to the community will be in phases.
Sen Kalu concluded his speech by announcing the donation of the sum of N2 million, which sent the women jubilating.
