Excitement as Hon Ukoha hands over four classrooms block/office to ASUBEB

Happiness and joy flashed in the faces of participants, officials of ASUBEB, teachers, traditional rulers and opinion leaders, as they gathered to witness the handing over ceremony of four (4) class room block/office.

Speaking at Aggrey Primary School field, Ibom, Arochukwu, on June 25, 2020, the facilitator of the edifice and the Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Onyekwere Mike Ukoha, first of thanked God for giving every one the enablement. 

He explained that due to the passion he has for the pupil who will make use of the building, he decided to include some of the things that were not in the building contract.

He specifically thanked the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, for his numerous roles and contributions in education, adding that the governor understands that education is the key to a bright future.

The lawmaker used the occasion to urge the people to ensure that they protect the building from destruction and called on the traditional rulers to assist in this regard.

He expressed delight that the children are eager to return to school, because they now have a better place for learning. 

Hon. Ukoha further promised that if the school is protected, he will do more for the people, stressing that “we all must preserve what we have.”

He went further to call on every one to take the opportunity of the NIRSAL Micro Finance Bank in Arochukwu to get involved in Agriculture and equally briefed them on the forthcoming business meeting scheduled for June 30, 2020.

In her speech, the Educational Secretary of Arochukwu LGA, Mrs. Patricia Nwankwo, who represented the Executive Chairman Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), expressed delight over the structure, pointing out that it is second to none.

She said she feels humbled to receive the building on behalf of the Executive Chairman of ASUBEB.
