Eze Aro Eberechukwu Oji holds maiden meeting with Ndi Ezeogo of Arochukwu

* Urges peace, unity in the Kingdom

His Royal Majesty (HRM), Eze Eberechukwu Oji, Eze Aro of Arochukwu Kingdom has held a meeting with Ndi Ezeogo Arochukwu Kingdom, the first since his installation as Eze Aro recently.

Addressing the meeting, which was attended by HRH Eze Amos, EzeIbom Isii; Mazi Okorafor Uro, Eze Ezeagwu; and 15 out of 19 Ezeogos of Arochukwu Kingdom, Eze Aro stressed the importance of peace and unity in Arochukwu. He lamented that Arochukwu had lost substance in contemporary State, national and international world affairs.

Eze Eberechukwu Oji made a pledge to restore Arochukwu Kingdom to its original glory, recalling the reign of his grandfather, the legendary Eze Kanu Oji.

“The kingdom must move forward and God helping us, we’ll get there,” he declared.

He called on Ndi Ezeogo to make genuine contributions and inputs towards the development and unity of the kingdom, assuring that he would bring all Umu Aro together, irrespective of their divergent interests and views on Aro issues.

Eze Eberechukwu Oji promised to hold regular meetings with Ndi Ezeogo and Presidents General of the various villages of Arochukwu Kingdom.

In their responses, Ndi Ezeogo formally congratulated Eze Eberechukwu Oji on his ascension to the revered throne of Arochukwu Kingdom.

They thanked him for initiating the meeting, pledging absolute loyalty to the throne of Arochukwu Kingdom.

In his own contribution, the President General of Nzuko Arochukwu (Worldwide), Mazi Nnadozie Udensi expressed gratitude to God Almighty that, with the impressive turn out of the villages in the meeting, Arochukwu Kingdom will witness brighter and greater days ahead. The PG urged Umu Aro to pay the desired respect and honour to Eze Aro, pointing out that the occupant of the throne is the symbol of Arochukwu Kingdom and must be respected at all times.

It was resolved that Ndi Ezeogo and PGs would be holding regular meetings to address the welfare of Ndi Ezeogo, among other things.
