The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha during the 2019 yuletide season, undertook the grading of the Uburu Ihe-Arochukwu road.

During his campaigns for election and re-election, Hon Ukoha traversed the length and breadth of the road canvassing for the peoples votes and used the occasion to familiarized himself with the terrible state of the road.

The dilapidated state of the road made the Honourable member to take the bull by the horns to grade the road knowing the importance of the Uburu Ihe-Arochukwu road to the people of the area and Arochukwu indigenes who where to ply the road that festive season.

The road serves as an alternative route to Obinto-Uburu-down to Atan Ihechiowa witnessed a high traffic of holiday makers and traders who navigated a shorter and smoother route to and fro Arocukwu.

Some natives of the area described the lawmaker as a selfless and hard working representative who has the interest of his people at heart at all times.

According to Mrs. Ukachi Iroh, ”our member is a good man and God fearing person, we want him to go on with what he is doing because he is doing well.”

Another indigene of the local government area who pleaded to remain anonymous, stated that the Uburu-Ihechiowa-Arochukwu road will help traders to convey their goods to the market and save them from long journey.
