Mazi Imuoh Victor Erim father of Mazi JC Imuoh (Ugwu Aro) was born in 1930 at Ndianiche Uno, Ugwuakuma Uzo in the present Biase LGA of Cross River State to the family of Mazi Erim Afrinyang and Mrs Ori Kanu Ijoma. He passed on at the ripe age of 93.
Mazi Imuoh Victor Erim attended St Peter’s School, Ugwuakuma Uzo from where he obtained his Standard Six Certificate. He later underwent further tutelage gaining more work experience from conferences, workshops and seminars he attended.
He worked as a Surveyor with RBB Construction Company in Cross River State. During the Nigeria – Biafra Civil war, he enlisted into the Biafra Army. After the civil war, Mazi Erim joined the Nigeria Police Force and served at the Central Police Station (CPS) Aba.
After his retirement from the Nigeria Police, he served as the Chief Security Officer with Intersoft Bottling Company, Aba and the Arochukwu Local Government Council.
Mazi Imuoh Erim was a traditionalist and loved entertaining with the Ekpe Cham Cham which was his specialty. He also loved Ekpo display and other Aro cultural entities
He was married to Late Grace Imuoh and Mrs Roseline Imuoh and blessed with nine children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mazi Imuoh Victor Erim was an amiable gentleman, caring and unassuming. He will be greatly missed.
