Mazi Sonny Allison was conferred the degree of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Logistics and Supply Chain (HonorisCausa) on Thursday the 23rd of November 2023 by Ballsbridge University, commonwealth of Dominica in concert with Courier Logistics and Management Institute (CLMI) Causa).
A Fellow and member of the governing council of the institute, Mazi Allison is the founder and pioneer Managing Director of Red Star Express Plc, a licensee of FedEx.
He is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global Merchantile& Corporate Logistics Ltd (GMC).
He worked with the Nigeria Tobacco Company plc (NTC) where he held several senior managerial positions before joining DHL International as its Commercial Manager. He rose to the position of Country Sales and Marketing Manager before resigning his position to found Red Star Express Plc.
He is also the founder/ Chairman, Capital Security & Surveillance Limited (25 years old and operating in 16 States in Nigeria); Chairman, Board of Directors of Mega Capital Financial Services Ltd, Lagos; Chairman, Hoop Telecoms Limited (An ISP and backbone Fibre Optics carrier); Chairman, SMS Consulting, Lagos (Foremost Market Research Company); Member, Board of Directors, Association of Outsourcing Professionals of Nigeria (AOPN) and Fellow, African Centre for Supply Chain.
