The newly established Rotaract Club of Arochukwu (Community Based) recently paid a courtesy call on the Transition Committee Chairman of Arochukwu LGA, Mazi Jideofor Kanu as it carried out its first service projection since inception.
Receiving the delegation at his office, the TC Chairman pledged his support to ensure that the Provisional Rotaract Club of Arochukwu (Community Based) receives it Charter from Rotary International in no distant time.
He also encouraged them to be steadfast in all the things that portray the ideals of Rotary and the Four Way Test, which the organization believes in, and which serves as the conscience of the secular society.
The delegation led by its President, Rotaractor Praise Genesis Obasi informed the Chairman that they were in the council to carry out their first Service Project since inception. He pointed out that they observed that the Secretariat was overgrown with weeds since the lockdown.
Its members immediately mowed the fields and cut grasses at the local government secretariat.
Obasi also informed the Chairman of their plans to plant trees at the council to check erosion in line with Rotary’s seventh area of focus of supporting the environment.
He, thereafter, invited the LG boss to take the honour of planting the first memorable demonstration tree, which he promised they will nurture to maturity.
Other members of the delegation include Morrison Chima, Urbae Lucy, Rtr Innocent Offia, Chinenye Orji, Emmanuel Ekeagba, Chimdi Kanu, Chidera Orji and a host of others.
The Provisional Rotaract Club of Arochukwu (CB) recently conducted elections into leadership positions. The following members emerged successful.
