The apex social club of Arochukwu Kingdom in Abia State, Aro- Okeigbo Social Club of Nigeria (AROSON) has elected a retired banker and businessman, Sir Kingsley Oti its president.
According to a press statement signed by the election committee chairman, Sir Dave Imoko and Dame Delight Sunday-Anicho, secretary, the election exercise which took place at Isimkpu Hall, Isimkpu village Arochukwu on Wednesday, 28th December, 2022 produced the following officers who will serve alongside Sir Oti.
They are Mazi Goddy Elekwachi, Vice President, Comrade Zulu Ofoelue, National Secretary and Sir Tochi Ejinaka who will serve as Assistant National Secretary.
The Managing Editor of Aro News, Mazi Ugo Okoro is to serve as the Publicity Secretary. Mazi Dan Onuoha was elected the Financial Secretary, Madam Nnuola Izuogu, Treasurer, Mazi Ajunwa Jumbo, is to serve as the Social Secretary and Mazi Alex Okoro, Chief Whip.
The oath of allegiance and due diligence was administered on the team after the election.
After the election and inauguration of officers, the team led by its President, Sir Kingsley Oti, paid courtesy calls on some National Patrons and past Presidents of the club. They include Mazi Emma Kanu Ivi, Mazi Dave Imoko and Mazi Ik Onu. It also visited Mazi Augustine Okoro, Onye Oje Ozi Arianzu Aro.
