Nollywood star, Alexx Ikenna Ekubo was recently conferred with a doctorate degree in far away Republic of Benin.
The Governing Council of the Institut Superieur de Communication et de Geston(ISCG University) conferred on the popular Nigerian actor, an honorary doctorate degree in Arts & Culture.
In conferring the award on Ikuku 1 of Mbaise, the institution stated that the award was in recognition of the Ujari, Arochukwu born star’s contribution to the growth of arts and culture in Africa and beyond.
Ikenna was born on the 10th of April, 1986 in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. He was educated at the University of Calabar where he studied law and equally holds a diploma in Mass Communication.
He emerged the first runner up in 2010 Mr. Nigeria contest. He has featured in many nollywood movies and also some musical videos with the most popular been Jonny in Yemi Alade’s hit song which has over 90 million views on youtube, making it the most watched video out of Africa..
Alexx won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in Weekend Gateway. He is also a Model, Motivational Speaker, Compere. Producer and Entertainer.
