Chikwe Udensi joins Jonathan, Okorocha, others bag Zik Awards

The Interpol systems expert and foremost security consultant in Nigeria, Sir, Chikwe Udensi, has received the prestigious Zik’s Creativity and Innovation Award during the 2nd Igbo Nsukka Zik Annual Merit Award held on November 16, 2021 at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Center, Abuja. 

Zik’s Creativity and Innovation Award is an annual event organized by Igbo Nsukka United Front (ISUF) to recognize outstanding individuals who have excelled in various spheres of endeavor and have contributed to nation building and national unity. 

The DG of Igbo Nsukka United Front, Hon. Chineme Onyeka, explained that the yearly merit award summit was conceptualized and designed to honour Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe for his effort in putting Nsukka on the global map, mostly by siting the first indigenous University of Nigeria on Nsukka land. 

He stated that the group seeks to emulate Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and therefore fixes November 16 of every year to mark his posthumous birthday and also use same day to honour, recognize and appreciate patriotic Nigerians who have helped in nation building, policy formulation, investment and national unity. 

The organizers of the award recognised Sir Chikwe Udensi as one of the top individuals who have contributed to nation building, especially in the area of national security.  

Sir Udensi, who was represented by Alhaji Yusuf Mahmud, thanked the group for the recognition and pledged to always contribute towards national security and robust economy. 

Other dignitaries who also received the award include former President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan; Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, Etsu Nupe; Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, Minister of Transportation, Senator Rochas Anayo Okorocha, former governor of Imo State; Major Hamza Al-Mustapha; Yahaya Bello, Governor of Kogi State Hon. Benjamin Kalu, spokesman, House of Representatives amongst others.
