The Abia State government has announced the appointment of Mazi Chimereze Okeigbo as the Chief Executive Officer of the Abia State SME Microfinance Bank.

Until the reassignment, Mazi Okoro was the Special Adviser on Internally Generated Revenue to the Abia State Governor. He was the Senior Special Assistant on Revenue to the Anambra State government before his appointment in Abia State

Okeigbo attended the Madonna University Okija and obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Lagos and equally holds other professional qualifications . He worked with Fidelity Bank Plc before his appointment as an SSA to the Anambra State Governor.

He is a former Vice Chairman of the Federated Youths Association, FAYA, and member of Nzuko Arochukwu, Aro-Okeigbo Social Club of Nigeria and Omenuko Fratanity.
