How Amangwu celebrated its 2022 day

The people of Amangwu  on the 29th of December2022  marked its annual Amangwu Day  celebration. The event which took place at its  at its civic center witnessed a large turnout of Ndi Amangwu, friends and invited guests.

Tagged “Youthful and Useful’ a united family for development and progress, projects spearheaded by youtths of the community were unveiled.

The event was chaired by Mazi Emma Kanu Ivi, Chairman, Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc and Aro News Publications Ltd. He expressed  joy over the event and pledged an annual sponsorship of twenty Amangwu pupils from primary 1-6 and two Amangwu students from their first year to their final year in any federal university and course of their choice.

He applauded the leadership of Amangwu development union (ADU), under the leadership of Mazi Kanu Iroegbu, all ADU branch chairmen and also members of the 2022 the planning committee especially its chairman, Ambassador Sunday Chibuzor.

Highlights of the day was the commissioning of Amangwu roundabout   built by Amangwu youths Arochukwu Nigeria, (AYAN) led by comrade Onyebuchi Chukwu, by the chairman of occasion,  the ground breaking of  the proposed Amangwu Health Center which will be sponsored by Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo  (an  ex international boxer) and distributions of school materials exercise books and school bags to Amangwu primary school and secondary school students.

The planning committee chairman, Ambassador Chibuzor Sunday Okereke during remarks, thanked the guests,  ADU members, Inyom Amangwu, AYAN members, those who couldn’t make it physically presence but streamed online and everyone who came out en-mass to grace this the occasion.

He further expressed his fulfillment towards the outcome of the event despite the short period of time.
