Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, listed as Special Guest of Honour, is scheduled to unveil the recently rebuilt Abna Hall – the assembly hall of Aggrey Memorial College Arochukwu – during the Annual General Meeting of the Alumni Association.

The event, according to the organizers, takes place in the Aggrey Memorial College compound on December 31, 2021, under the chairmanship of Professor Okoro Ijoma. Time is 11am.

Aro News learned that the Abna Hall was single-handedly rebuilt recently by an alumnus of the College, Sir Chikwe Udensi, thus earning him a special place in the annals of the College history. And he is being honoured for his philanthropy.

At the time of going to press, the association was yet to finalize its list of honourees.

Nonetheless, Aro News learned that a few more old students of the college, especially those who had impacted the College materially, were also to be honoured.

Perhaps most significant is the post-humus award for the late Mazi Osu Kanu Okoro, in whose honour Udensi reportedly rebuilt the Abna Hall.
