A group of philanthropists in Isimpku village, under the aegis of Isimkpu Think thank Group, ITG, has concluded plans to present some gift items to a cross-section of the fellow villagers, particularly the less-privileged ones, during this Christmas period in order to help such people to participate in the joyful festivity.

In a statement on the issue, a member of the group, Mr Ogbonnaya Akoma who is also the first vice president-general of Isimkpu Progressive Union, indicated that the presentation is likely to hold on the Christmas Day, 25 December, and will be witnessed by the acting chairman of the group, Dr Ndubuisi Okoronkwo (retired wing-commander of the  Nigerian Air Force), Mr John Okike Emeruwa, the secretary; Dr Nkemakolam Ukpabi, a retired commodore of the Nigerian Navy, the US-based Maazi Chijioke Okereke, another US-based member, Maazi Kanu Okoro, and Professor Chioli Pascal Chijioke of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, alongside other members.

It would be recalled that members of Isimkpu Think thank Group had collaborated and raised funds with which they completed Isimkpu village hall last year, and which was commissioned for use on Isimkpu Day, 27 December, 2022 after the building of the hall had commenced way back in 1987.
