Retired civil servant and community leader turned 74 on the 5th of May. A native of Upata village, Ajalli, Jerry attended CMS and Government College, Ughelli; University of Ibadan and the University of New York, where he bagged a Ph.D in Environmental and Analytical Chemistry. He was Deputy Manager, NNPC; Assistant Director and later Deputy Director, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) a position he held until his retirement. He is Director, Niger Delta Environmental Society. A fellow of many professional organizations, he has equally published many academic papers. He is married to Uzo and blessed with children.
