His Royal Highness (HRH), Eze Maxwell Omeire Kanu (Ochiriozuo), Eze Ejezie Autonomous community in Arondizuogu, has passed on.
Born on April 12, 1932, at Ndiejezie, Arondizuogu, Omeri Kanu attended primary and commercial schools before moving to Aba.
He was Chairman/CEO of M.O Kanu Sons and Company Ltd, Omeire Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Ltd, Fag-Afrika Na Hotels Ltd, Fasal Services Ltd and Agura Hotels Ltd.
Ugwu Aro was Chairman, Nigerian Stockfish Importers Association, Patron, Nigeria Union of Journalist, member, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) etc. Omeire built and donated a blood bank and a medical record unit to the Aba General Hospital. He was crowned Eze Ejezie Izuogu in 2003.
He left to mourn him, wives, children and grand children.
