The Arochukwu Kingdom Neighborhood Watch (AKNW) recently confirmed the use of suspected locally manufactured device to destroy a house in Arochukwu. The property owned by Mazi Samuel Aka is located at Amangwu village. AKNW said it received a complaint from Mazi Samuel Aka that his house at Amangwu Village was damaged with a device by some yet-to-be identified persons. An on-the-spot assessment of the property reveled damages to different parts of the house.
As at the time of filing this report, the matter had been reported to the Police who have commenced full investigation to unravel the motive of the perpetrators. The impact of the attack prompted the visit of operatives of the Bomb Disposal Unit of the Abia State Police Command to Arochukwu.
Confirming the incident, the coordinator of AKNW, Hon. Jideofor Kanu, revealed that the attack was the first of its kind in Arochukwu, and pledged the cooperation of the neighbourhood watch with the Nigeria Police to unravel the dastardly act.
