A professor gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway.
The professor then mixed all the balloons.
The students were then given five (5) minutes to find their own balloon.
Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon.
At that point, the professor told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it.
Within five (5) minutes, everyone had their own balloon.
The professor said to the students:
“These balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people’s happiness, we’ll find ours too.”
In another situation, an anthropologist proposed a game to the African children.
He placed a basket of sweets near a tree
And made the children stand a hundred (100) metres away.
Then announced that whoever reaches first would get all the sweets in the basket.
When he said, ‘ready, steady goooo!’ Do you know what these children did?
They held each other’s hands, ran together towards the tree, divided the sweets equally among themselves, ate the sweets and enjoyed it.
When the anthropologist asked them why they did so, they all answered, ‘Ubuntu’.
Which meant; ‘How can one be happy when the others are sad?’
Ubuntu in their language means; ‘I am because we are!’
A strong message for all generations.

Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was only a few meters from the finish line, but got confused with the signs and stopped, thinking he had finished the race.
A Spanish man, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was going on started shouting to the Kenyan to keep running. Mutai did not know Spanish and did not understand.
Realizing what was going on, Ivan Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory.
A reporter asked Ivan, “Why did you do this?”
Ivan replied, “My dream is that one day we can have some sort of community life where we push ourselves and help each other win.”
Wow! What a great life, ‘Ubuntu!’ …I am because we are!
The reporter insisted, “But why did you let the Kenyan win?”
Ivan replied, “I didn’t let him win, he was going to win. The race was his.”
The reporter insisted and asked again, “But you could have won!”
Ivan looked at him and replied: “But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor of this medal? What would my Mother think of it?”
…oh, what a great life!…Ubuntu!!
What values do we teach our children and how much do you inspire others to earn?
Most of us take advantage of people’s weaknesses instead of helping to strengthen them.
I hope you learn from this story. Most times winning the medal is not the ultimate price.

There was an old man who was admitted in a hospital.
A young man visited him every day, and sat with him for more than one hour.
He helped him to eat his food and take his shower.
Then he took him walking in the garden of the hospital. He would bring him back to his room and help him to lie down.
He went away after reassuring himself that the old man was doing well.
One day the nurse entered his room to give him medicine and inspect his condition. She said to him:
“May the Lord be always gracious to your kind and caring son. Every day he visits you and shows great care.”
The old man looked at her and closed his eyes and said to her:
“I wished he was one of my children.
This is an orphan from the neighborhood where we live.
I met him one day in the past crying at the door of a Church after his father died. I comforted him and bought candy for him. I neither saw him nor talked to him for a very long time.
When he grew up and came to discover where my wife and I were living, he started visiting us every day to inspect our conditions. When I later fell sick, he took my old wife to his home.
He now comes to the hospital to see to my treatment everyday.

He simply smiled and then said:
“The taste of the candy is still in my mouth.”
Plant well! If you do, God will not forget the beautiful deed wherever you have planted it.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
A beautiful deed will only be harvested by those who planted it, no matter how long it takes.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Those who plant hate and discord will reap their sweat.
May God help us to care for others in whatever position we find ourselves.

There was this king that had 10 wild dogs…
He used them to torture and eat all servants who made mistakes.
One of the servants once gave an opinion which was wrong, and which the king didn’t like at all… he ordered that the servant be thrown to the dogs.
So, the minister said,
“I served you 10 years and you do this?
Please give me ten days before you throw me in with those dogs!”
And the king obliged him the request!
In those ten days the servant went to the guard that was guarding the dogs and told him he wants to serve the dogs for the next ten days.
The guard was baffled… But he agreed!
So the minister started feeding the dogs, cleaning for them, washing them, providing all sorts of comfort for them. So when the ten days were up…
The king ordered that the servant be thrown in to the dogs for his punishment.
But when he was thrown in, everyone was amazed at what they saw…
They saw the dogs licking the feet of the minister!
So the king baffled at what he saw and said, ‘What happened to the dogs?!!!”
The servant then said, “I served the dogs for ten days and they didn’t forget my service…
Yet I served you for ten years and you forgot all at the first mistake!”
So the king realised his mistake and ordered the servant to go free.
This is a gift to all those who forget the good in others as soon as a problem arises.
Don’t wipe out the history that is filled with good because of a small incident you didn’t like. Think… Reflect… Act… Change…

There’s tomorrow, the future comes unawares to the fool!
“My name is KOFI AMOAH, I own a company, none of my staff knew me as the owner except the Manager and the Secretary. (I had told them not to disclose my identity). I don’t usually go for a visit.
One day, I visited the company and I saw my Ex wife, who had thrown me out of my own house. I asked the Manager and he said she is one of their staff.
I instructed the Manager to promote her to Personnel Officer, gave her a car, a bungalow, garden boy, security and other emoluments.
An undeserved position though, of which he did.
A month later, I went there as a job seeker.
As soon as she saw me with my application and CV, she rejected me outright, threw my application at my face, and immediately retrieved it from the floor and tore it to pieces and threw it into the waste bin.
After regaling me with all my past, she informed me I would never get employment nor an opportunity at the company.
Also, she swore on heaven and the earth that all this would happen. She boldly declared that the only way I’d get employment at the company was over her cold dead body.
I came the following day with another application and went on my knees to beg her, but she refused and spat into the waste bin and said even if I was the only bridge to cross to come to work, she would opt for a boat and called the security men to throw me out, so I left.
On Monday, I went to the company in my real identity and entered her office with the Manager who introduced me to her, she quickly knelt down crying and begging me, “the proposed rejected bridge.”
She informed me that her entire family depended on her for survival. If her employment was terminated, she added, life would be absolutely horrendous not only for her but also her entire family. She even promised to remarry me.
We both stood there motionless and speechless which left the Manager befuddled.
Many things started racing in my head.
Should I call for the police? Should I strip her of her current position and move her back to her former position?
Should I cancel the unqualified benefits given to her?
Should I accept such a woman back?
I’m still indecisive! If you were in my shoes, what would you do?”
Whenever you are dealing with people, you must always remember that there is tomorrow and you might néed them tomorrow.
You may end up needing help from the people who are asking for your help today, so help as much as you can.
Ephesians 6:8 KJV
Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
Life is like a moving wheel, sometimes you are up and sometimes you are down. Sometimes we destroy the bridges that we might need to help us cross back tomorrow.
Sometimes we treat people as though there is never going to be tomorrow.
We sometimes act as though we will never need help from anyone!
Remember there’s tomorrow.
In England in 1920 there was a graduation ceremony for a batch of new doctors.
It was attended by the British Prime Minister of that time.
During the ceremony, the head doctor who was in charge of that batch, gave the necessary advice to these new graduates.
He told them the following incident which happened with him sometimes back:
“It was after midnight, and I heard a knock on my door.
It was an old lady, and she said to me:
‘O my doctor, my child is sick and in a very serious condition, so please do something to save him.’
I rushed out to follow her to her house without worrying what will happen.
Because it was a stormy night, and very cold. The rain was pouring down very heavily. I did not fear for my life.
Her house was on the outskirts of London, and after a difficult journey, we reached her house.
She lived in a small room with her son.
When I entered the room, I saw her son at the corner of this room groaning and deeply in pain.
After I did my duty towards the sick child, the mother gave me a small bag with money.
I refused to take this bag and I told her gently that I can’t accept that payment, because I felt sorry for their situation.
Then I promised her that I will take care of her child until he gets better.”
The head doctor continued in his speech by saying:
“This is the true profession of medicine, and being a doctor is the closest profession to mercy and one of the closest to God”
As soon as the head doctor finished his speech, the Prime Minister jumped out of his seat and headed to the podium.
“Permit me Sir, to kiss your hand. For twenty years now and I am looking for you. I am the child you mentioned in your story just now.
Oh, my mother will be happy now and she will rest in peace.
Her only wish was for me to find you and to reward you, for that goodness you did for us at the time we were living in poverty.”
That poor child who became the Prime Minister of England was: “Lloyd George”
Plant goodness wherever you go, even if it is not on your place. Because it will never get lost wherever you will plant it.
It is even more nice if your goodness lasts longer. Because no one shall harvest that goodness except the one who has planted it.
Doing goodness to others will always purify your heart, and it will fight any kind of evil which comes your way.
This is UBUNTU, ‘I am because we are!’
The owner of goodness does not fall, if he falls he will fall on a pillow to comfort and support him. May we all be among the people who always do good to others.

Don’t break the blessing cycle
In the Holy Scriptures, Joseph helped the cup-bearer in prison and later the cup-bearer connected Joseph with Pharaoh.
Imagine how Portiphar’s wife felt when she heard that Joseph was now the Governor of Egypt, after she had falsely accused him of raping her.
Joseph’s brothers who sold him away ended up being fed by him.
Don’t ever think of going to the extreme with your offenders, they might be rescuers tomorrow. Always remember that there is tomorrow and it will surely come.
The little help you give to people today, will profit you tomorrow. May the good Lord touch your heart to live your life knowing that there is tomorrow.
In everything you do, always remember that, there Is TOMORROW!

George McLaurin, the first black man admitted to the University of Oklahoma in 1948, was forced to sit in a corner far from his white classmates.
But his name remains on the honor roll as one of the three best students of the university. These are his words:
“Some colleagues would look at me like I was an animal, no one would give me a word, the teachers seemed like they were not even there for me, nor did they always take my questions when I asked. But I devoted myself so much that afterwards, they began to look for me to give them explanations and to clear their questions.”
Forcing yourself to be accepted by people is a waste of time. Just focus on doing good and adding value to yourself and people shall come seeking your help…Think Unique Thoughts
One person asked a question to a Spiritual leader.
“My workers are not true to me. My children, wife and entire world are very selfish.
Nobody is correct!”
The spiritual leader smiled, and told him a story.
“In one village there was a room with a thousand (1000) mirrors.
One small girl used to go inside and play.
Seeing a thousand children around her, she was joyful.
She will clap her hands and all the one thousand (1000) children would clap back. She considered this place as the world’s happiest place and visited there often.
This same place was visited by a sad person. He saw around him thousands of angry men. He got scared and raised his hand to hit them and in return a thousand (1000) hands lifted to hit him back.
He thought this is the worst place in the world and left that place.
Same way this world is also a room with a thousand (1000) mirrors.
What we let out of us is what the society gives back to you.”

A very poor Christian woman called a radio station asking for help.
A non-believer in the our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who was also listening to this radio program decided to make fun of the woman.
He got the woman’s address from the radio station and told his secretary to carry a large amount of foodstuff to the woman.
However, he gave the following instruction, “if the woman asks who sent the food, tell her that it’s from the devil.”
When the secretary arrived at the woman’s house, the woman was happy and grateful for the help received.
She started putting the food packets inside her small house.
The secretary then asked her, “Don’t you want to know who sent the food?”
The woman replied, ‘No, I don’t care because when GOD orders, even the DEVIL obeys!
Some of the times, the people you extend hand of fellowship to can reward you with evil, don’t think or render evil to them. God will take care of them.

She told her boyfriend, ‘If I could only see the world, I will marry you.’

He asked her, ‘Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?’
The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind.
The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn’t expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.
Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying,
‘Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.’
This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.
Life Is a gift, where you are now is someone’s prayer point and heart desire!
Today, before you say an unkind word; Think of someone who can’t speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food; Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife; Think of someone who’s crying out to the ALMIGHTY GOD for a companion.
Today before you complain about life; Think of someone who died too young.
Before you complain about your children; Think of someone who desires children but have non.
Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn’t clean or sweep; Think of the people who are living in the streets.
Before whining about the distance you drive; Think of someone who walks the same distance on foot.
And when you are tired and complain about your job; Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.
But, before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another; Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down. Put a smile on your face and thank GOD you’re alive and still around.
Let’s learn to run our own race in life and eschew every unhealthy scheming and manipulations!

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Look at this narrative from a young man:
“I Went to an e-bank hall a few months ago.
As I was about entering the hall, a lady ran ahead of me and pushed me away, so she could quickly join the long queue before I will get to the queue.
I didn’t say anything. She felt I will stay at her back, but I was actually not there to withdraw, I came to deposit.
So I walked to the deposit machine and I was the only one there. No single person on the queue. When I finished depositing. I was about leaving the hall, when the lady came from the queue and apologized to me for pushing me away the other time.
With sorry smile on her face; she said, ‘I am sorry sir for pushing you away, I thought you were coming to the queue’
I just smiled and told her not to bother, that it’s not a big deal. Since then, the lesson in this story kept coming to my mind, and I felt I should share it with us all to learn from it.”
Friends, who are you ‘pushing’ away and trying to out run in the race of destiny, relationship, politics, business, ministry, career, etc?
You are thinking you are going to the same ‘queue’ ( destination) unknowing to you that, though your path may look alike, but your destinations are different!
How many people have had to say ‘sorry’ to those they pushed aside, pushed away, push down when they finally realized that that person was not actually going to the ‘withdrawal machine’ they were running to.
Are you reading this and you are pushing people away here and there by slandering them, hindering their progress, blocking their promotion, spoiling their good names through lies and rumour all in a bid to ‘get there’ before them.
I challenge you today, to take it easy. Repent! You might not be going to the same destination.
It might surprise you later that, with all your pushing away you are doing, they may still leave you on the ‘queue’ of destiny later and they will be successful before you.
Finally, are you reading this and you can feel people in your office, ministry, business, etc pushing you away so that they can get ahead of you?
Don’t worry, God will use your case to prove to them that,
‘It is not of him that runs, but of the Lord that shows mercy…’ ( Romans 9:16).
He will show you mercy and give you an overtaking speed.
Those who are pushing you here and there will later come and tell you they are sorry.
Please, don’t push anybody. You might meet on the same path, but you might not be going to the same ‘machine’ ( destination).
Life has no destiny mates,
but destiny helpers, destiny company, etc
A Rabbit runs, jumps, moves faster and lives for only fifteen (15) years while a Tortoise doesn’t even attempt any of such activities but lives for a hundred and fifty (150) years or more!
Life is not about rushing, comparison and doing what others are doing but rather keeping calm and doing what is right, and what you are called to do.
They may live in the same forest and play together but have different life expectancy and destiny space.
We must remember that we will have age mates, class mates, school mates, office mates but there are no DESTINY MATES in life.
Be who you are called to be, love who you are and thank God for your special journey which may not look like others!
A Crow lived in the Forest and was absolutely satisfied in life.
But one day he saw a Swan…
‘This Swan is so white and I am so black..’ Crow thought…
‘Swan must be the happiest bird in the world.’
He expressed his thoughts to the Swan.
Actually, the Swan replied,
“I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a Parrot, which has two colours.
I now think the Parrot is the happiest bird in creation.”
The Crow then approached the Parrot
The Parrot explained,
“I lived a very happy life until I saw a Peacock. I have only two colours, but the Peacock has multiple colors.”
The Crow then visited a Peacock in the zoo and saw that hundreds of people had gathered to see him.
After the people had left,
The Crow approached the Peacock..
‘Dear Peacock, you are so beautiful. Every day thousands of people come to see you. When people see me, they immediately shove me away.
I think you are the happiest bird on the planet.
The Peacock replied,
‘I always thought that I was the most beautiful and happy bird on the planet.
But because of my beauty,
I am entrapped in this zoo.
I have examined the zoo very carefully, and I have realized that the Crow is the only bird not kept in a cage.
So for past few days I have been thinking that if I were a Crow, I could happily roam everywhere.’
That’s our problem too!

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
We make unnecessary comparison with others and become sad.
We don’t value what God has given us.
This all leads to the vicious cycle of unhappiness.
Value the things God has given you.
Learn the secret of being happy and discard the comparison which leads only to unhappiness..
Say this, I thank you God for everything!
– Beauty is not a guarantee to marriage . …
– Falling sick does not mean you are about to die. …
– Getting rich is not the definition of prosperity. …
– Building a nice house is not enjoying luxury. …
– Sleeping on an expensive bed does not bring you sound sleep. …
– Driving a new car is not a guarantee that you are going to reach where you are going. …
– Wearing best clothes does not mean they are fitting you. …
– Having a family doctor does not guarantee permanent health. …
– Being too much educated is not a sign of wisdom. …
– Marrying a rich guy does not guarantee happy marriage. …
– Winning an argument does not mean that you are correct. …
– Whatever is done without the merit of Heaven is fake or temporal. …
He who builds without God is building for nothing ; and he who watches over a city without God, watches in vain. … Not everything is possible with men. Yet everything is possible with God (Psalm 127, Mathew 1:37).
You have your own destiny SPACE and race!! JUST stick to your own track!!
