Working is progressing on the Amoba Arochukwu internal road attracted by the Senator representing Abia North and Chairman, Senate Committee on Privatization, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

The one kilometer road is being constructed by Oxford Construction and Waste Management Ltd, with the Federal Co-operative College, Oji River, as the awarding agency and Senator Kalu, the facilitator of the project. Already, drainage work has been completed. The site engineer informed Aro News that evacuation of debris and bad soil from the road is ongoing, after which earth work will commence to make way for asphalting.

A resident of the community, Mazi Friday Nwamuo, who spoke to Aro News, expressed joy at the development. He said it is the first time he has seen a politician make a promise during campaigns and fulfill it thereafter.

In another development, Sentor Orji Kalu recently donated solar lights to some communities in Abia North. Some of the villages that benefited in Arochukwu include Amoba (Mazi Nkume Okoronkwo area). Atani (Sir Dozie Udensi area) and Akama (Amb. Austin Orji area).
