Work is progressing on three Aro internal roads attracted by Mazi Obasi Lawson( Sobaz) from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The roads are Atani phase 2 road, Atani-Amuvi road and Atani-Amukwa-Ugbo, Amankwu road. Our correspondent who visited the sites reported that construction work was steadily progressing on all the roads. At Atani phase 2, a new bridge has been constructed to ease the flow of water from Iyi agwo which in the past, experiences flooding around that area. Also work has been completed on the drainages leading into Atani 2 towards Atani boundary with Akwa Ibom State. A swamp excavator, graders, pay loaders and bulldozers were seen carrying out various construction work on the site.
At the Atani-Amuvi road axis, construction of drainage has been concluded while grading and stone basing was ongoing as at the time of this report.
Also evacuation work, grading and other work was ongoing at the Atani-Amukwa-Ugbo axis. Our correspondent also reported construction activities on Ndi Okoro compound road in Atani.
