The Federated Arochukwu Youth Association (FAYA) has bestowed on Barr. Oscar Chukwuma Okoro, Company Secretary of Aro News, its patronship in recognition of his strides in uplifting the youths of Arochukwu Kingdom.
The association announced through a statement that Barr. Okoro has for long been supportive of the growth of FAYA Worldwide, which earned him the award of “Ubasinachi” by FAYA in 2014.
Describing him as a backbone of the youths, FAYA praised the attorney for providing job opportunities for more than 20 youths of Arochukwu Kingdom.
The occasion was the 25th anniversary celebration of the association, which took place in Abuja.
In his acceptance speech, Barr Okoro reiterated his commitment and enthusiasm for a greater Arochukwu, in which the youths have a great role to play.
He noted that it gives him joy seeing youths of Arochukwu Kingdom engaging in one skill or the other, which has encouraged him to source for various job opportunities them.
He pledged to further remain supportive of the youths, expressing gratitude for the award, which coincided with Fathers’ Sunday.
“It would be recalled that FAYA in 2014, conferred me with an award of Ubasinachi. I have been pro-youths by providing jobs to Arochukwu youths of which over 20 of them have been gainfully employed in one organization or the other. As a patron of FAYA, I promise to do more. I am particularly delighted because this honour came on Fathers’ Day. I have, in the past, received an award from International Youth Association as a Ambassador of Peace,” Barr Okoro stated.
In a related development, the Rotary Club of Arochukwu Downtown conferred on Barr Oscar Okoro its professional service merit award.
