For the management and pupils of Mary Slessor Primary School, Arochukwu, it is a time to rejoice and appreciate the Senator representing Abia North in the National Assembly, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, for his recent benevolent act to the institution.
Courtesy the former Governor of Abia State and the Chairman, Senate Committee on privatization, the school can now boast of a new classroom block.
The deplorable state and learning conditions of the students had been brought to the lawmaker’s attention, who immediately mobilized the contractor to site for the construction of the classroom block.
Our investigation revealed that a concerned Aro son, Mazi Iheanyi Inyama (Ebony), had brought to the attention of the senator, the deplorable condition of the school. And within one month of documentation and assessment, work
commenced.
A visit to the school revealed that work has been completed on the project.
