Civil engineer and community leader clocked 64 on the 30th of April. A native of Atani village, Ugwu Aro was educated at St. Ephraim’s Secondary School, Owerrinta and the University of Lagos where he bagged a master’s degree in Civil Engineering. He was pupil civil engineer, Assistant Director (Highways); Federal Controller of Works and Housing; Executive Director, FERMA and at present, Director, Federal Ministry of Works. He is a past President General of Atani Welfare Union and a Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers. He is married to Victoria and blessed with children and grandchildren.
