The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, has distributed copies of exercise books and other learning materials to pupils of Emmanuel International School, Ugwuavor, Arochukwu.
Hon. Ukoha, while handing out the items, explained that it has been in his heart to support the pupil sof Emmanuel International School in any way possible, stressing that education remains the backbone of every society.
He advised the pupils to study hard in order to become useful to their parents and the society; and also to contribute meaningfully in their chosen field in future.
The lawmaker used the occasion to thank the founder of the school, Mazi Emmanuel Nwadeyi, for his efforts to see the children acquire knowledge; and pledged to support of the school’s future programmes.
Responding, one of the teachers, Mr. Uzochukwu James Elekwa, thanked the lawmaker for identifying with them and for providing learning aides to the pupils, praying God to bless him.
Emmanuel International, a free education center, was established by Dr. Emma Nwadeyi, to cater for the needs of the less privileged. It is fully funded by Dr. Nwadeyi.
