Amannagwu community in USA empowers youths at home

Indigenes of Amannagwu village based in the United States of America (USA), on Friday, September 23, 2022, empowered some of their youths at home with cash awards in order to support them in their petty businesses.

Speaking through their member/representative at Ezi Ogo square, Amannagwu village, the Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, used the opportunity to thank his brothers and sisters in the USA, for the trust they have in him.

He specifically thank the President, Mazi Stephen Obi Achi and all EXCO members for driving the unique initiative to a successful implementation.

Hon. Ukoha, promised to always supervise the recipients to ensure that the money they received is put to good use.

According to the Lawmaker, the sum of ₦1.5 million was sent from America and were distributed to the various recipients.

In his remarks at the occasion, Mazi Okechukwu Nkute, the 2nd Vice President, Nzuko Amannagwu, who represented Mazi Chimere Ikenga, the President General Nzuko Amannagwu, expressed gratitude to their folks in USA for empowering their youths. He urged other Amannagwu indigenes in Nigeria to emulate what the USA group did.

He prayed God to bless Amannagwu people in USA in their daily endeavours, stressing that they have done well for the people at home.

In his remark, Eze Eziukwu compound, Mazi Chinasa Inyamah, thanked Amannagwu indigenes in USA, for their great efforts.

He also thanked Hon. Ukoha for making the event a memorable one and described him as an exceptional person.

Also speaking, Eze Ezi Ogo compound, Mazi Ndubuisi Oji, expressed satisfaction with what happened.

He further thanked Amannagwu people in USA for their kind contributions and prayed God to bless them.

On his part, the President of Amannagwu Youth, Mr. Kelechi Okoroji, also thanked Amannagwu indigenes in America for providing financial support for their youths at home.

For those who did not benefit from the gesture, Okoroji advised them to keep the hope alive, assuring that God’s time is the best.

Some of the beneficiaries,including Matthew Ijoma Elekwa, Victor Paul Okoro,  Nkechinyere Ijoma Nkem, Chikodi Chijioke, among others; thanked Amannagwu indigenes in USA for supporting them financially. They also thanked Hon. Ukoha for acting as a link between those in America and those at home, promising to use the money in a meaningful ventures and prayed God to bless them.
